Commissions
I’m always happy to discuss commissions, with no obligation to go ahead. For those who’ve never commissioned a piece before, it is a careful process where I try to understand what you want to achieve and help you to find the best image and medium - watercolour, oil, acrylic or pastel - to do that.

Past commissions have ranged from individual studies of a cat or dog to full-length human portraits and paintings of houses. Sometimes the commissions are unusual - a representation of an explorer’s travels or an illustration of a poem, but every one is unique and special and is treated that way by me.

Prices are very dependent on how complex the picture is and on its size. They can range from £100 for a small watercolour to £2000 for a large and complex piece. The average individual animal oil portrait is usually in the £300-500 bracket.
